Here I am again, trying to learn my way around this blog. It's been quite some time since I last posted and alot has happened since then. Our son, who is now 19 was admitted to the home I spoke about last time I posted. He lives with four other young men and there are several people who take care of them. He seems very content and well taken care of. We are able to get him whenever we want since he only lives a few miles away. It's worked out wonderfully, definately an answer to prayers.

All was going well with us until I got the call at around 8 pm from my father, on December 17, 2007. My mom had just passed away. My heart crumbled at hearing those words. No, I wasn't ready for this. I cried and cried. Oh, I knew that she didn't have long since they had just found out she had stage IV lung cancer, apparently getting it from cancer being on her kidneys several years prior. She was on dialysis for this. Her fistual in her arm had burst and she couldn't stop the bleeding. She tried to call 911, but they didn't make it in time.
.
Funny thing is, we were about to come and spend Christmas with them. We were only 5 days away from seeing them. For the next 10 days I was numb. I went with my family and stayed with Dad. My brother lives near my dad and we had some cousins come for the funeral as well as one of her brothers. It was a bittersweet Christmas and didn't feel like Christmas for the most part. At her funeral though 5 people were saved! She loved Jesus Christ with all of her heart and although I miss her alot, I know she is with Him right now! I praise the Lord for His goodness and mercy towards her, especially near the end. I couldn't imagine her suffering any more than she had with cancer. She had Crohn's disease since she was 16. She died a couple of months before their 50th anniversary. I can't wait to see her again when the Lord comes for His Bride!
